Will the conference take place in November 2020 as planned?
No. The conference is postponed with the new planned dates 10-12 November 2021.
I was accepted to the 2020 conference program—do I have to write a new paper now?
No. All accepted authors automatically receive place in the new conference program with the same contribution and presentation format. You are free though to make updates to your paper with new data/analyses that you might have made since your original submission.
Will there be an opening for additional submissions during 2021?
Yes. We plan to open for additional submissions during spring 2021.
I am a reviewer—do I still need to complete my reviews?
Yes. The reviewing follows the original time plan. Your reviews will serve as a base for the decisions on which papers should go further to the special issue of the ‘Accident Analysis and Prevention‘ journal.
What happens to the special issue of ‘Accident Analysis and Prevention‘?
We proceed with the special issue of ‘Accident Analysis and Prevention‘ as planned. Though it is unusual, we have an ‘ok’ from the editor to prepare the special issue before the actual conference taken place.
My paper was not selected to the special issue and I want to publish it elsewhere. Do I have to cancel my conference participation for that?
No. You can publish your paper elsewhere, even before the conference. If the journal allows it, we kindly ask you to mention something like ’an earlier version of this manuscript has been reviewed and accepted at International Cycling Safety Conference 2020/21’.
If travel restrictions are still in place in 2021, can I participate online?
To turn ICSC into a fully ‘virtual conference’ is not a prioritised option. Instead, we plan providing opportunity for following the conference online and even remote presenting for a ‘moderate’ amount participants who could not come due to travel restrictions.
My data collection is delayed, I cannot deliver full paper as planned in due time. Can I still participate?
Yes!!! Please, get in contact with the organisers (email@example.com) and we will figure out an individual solution to your problem.
